Glasgow Centurions took part in their first competitive Active Touch game last Thursday 15th October in the in2touch Active Touch Christmas League. The team very much enjoyed their first experience and relish the challenge of the next 10 weeks of competitive action. Active touch is an indoor version of the game which is played at a fast pace on a basketball sized court. It develops many of the ball handling, agility and team work skills which are key to all forms of touch rugby. I think everyone would agree that its great for fitness!
Our first match was a tough test again an experienced Geckos side who won 28-7. Much was taken from the game and the entire team look forward to the weeks ahead. Tonight's opponents are the Blue Jays which will provide us another tough test! You can keep up to date with our results on the home page. Wish us luck for the league ahead and as always if you are interested in trying out touch rugby get in touch!
